TGTWIFO. That stands for “Thank God This Week Is… Finally… Over.” It was spent hanging around a hospital, walking (Elizabeth, Gerrard, Bay, Elm, University, repeat), eating, and sleeping.

1. Toronto General – The highlights of the Cardiac Centre – aside from having wonderfully skilled doctors, surgeons, and medical staff – was the art that graced its walls, the DeGasperis Conservatory, and the on-site Starbucks.

2. Skyline – We stayed at the Eaton Chelsea. I wish I had only great things to say about it, but alas, I do not. In order to try to maintain an upbeat and positive post though, I’ll just stick with the good things. We had a great view from our first room on the 22nd floor (pictured). They have great smelling toiletry products. They gave us half-price parking. They have a super convenient location. And…umm… yeah, that’s it.

3. Stress Eating – I gotta say, my mum and I had some really great meals, and I have found some new favourite spots. The dinner pictured was Pub Grub night. We went back to Duke of Somerset, where we ate a few weeks ago. I had the Curried Chicken Karma Marsala, which was so yummy, and my mum got the Chicken Pot Pie. Some other highlight meals included Scaddabush (loved their charity bread and zucca pasta), The Pickle Barrel (hoisin chicken lettuce wraps and peanut butter crunch sundae), and Somethin’ 2 Talk About (fabulous wraps!).

4. Retail Therapy – Today, I just had to do some shopping. That’s just how I roll when things get a little too heavy for me to handle. I found some great buys at Winners, my go-to shop in times of need. I picked up a cute burgundy T, A Suitcase and a Spatula cookbook by food blogger Tori Haschka, and a Cowshed Knackered Cow relaxation bath set (on sale!)
