As we all know, there was no winner for the $50M draw last Friday… but hopefully this week is different! After the winning streak I’ve been on, the big ticket has got to be mine. Everything comes in threes, right?
Okay, okay – there’s no need for congratulatory wishes yet. I am not engaged. But as part of my life coaching sessions with Dr. Sue Gleeson, my homework a few months ago was to plan/price out my entire wedding. This obviously couldn’t be done independently – and thankfully, when I brought it up, my Mister didn’t run.
Wedding planning isn’t as easy as I thought it would be. I feel like little girls are raised to dream about “their” perfect day. And now, with Pinterest, it’s even easier to visualize those concepts and ideas. But then, the stick in the spokes: men have opinions and dreams about THEIR wedding day, too.
Say what?! I know. I never even considered that. (Please don’t tell me I’m the only one).
So, we had all the big discussions; the heated conversations, if you will. Each of us used this opportunity to think about what was truely important to us. Were there things that were non-negotiatiable? Things that we could compromise on? It took a while, but we finally got there. It was a really interesting exercise to do as a couple, especially one that isn’t engaged yet.
Now that all the key planning is done, what better time to WIN A $100 GIFT CERTIFICATE to Brides By Tara! Yep, I did. My name was drawn for entering a giveaway from Michelle Ferrari’s blog! And the waiting game continues…
If you know me, you know I love cats. I also love theatre. So how is it that I’ve never seen Cats? Shocking, but true.
Naturally, this means that when there is a Twitter giveaway for tickets to Cats, I should win… which I did! I am so excited to get to check out this production at The Peterborough Theatre Guild, thanks to CHEX Daily!
Seriously, how lucky am I?
I want to know, what’s the best thing that you’ve ever won?
