After the excitement of Weekends Past, this week was low-key. We had our Quinlan-Lummiss engagement celebration dinner with our families on Monday. Of course, I never seem to take pictures of the important things. After that, I was pretty much out of commission from Tuesday-Friday with work and a debilitating headache. Here’s what I did manage to capture:
1) By The Bridge by Little Lake – On Tuesday, I had some errands to run downtown, so I stopped into By The Bridge and picked up a delicious black bean tofu sandwich. It was a gorgeous day, so I took that lovely sandwich of mine and drove down to Little Lake to enjoy it by the water.
2) Donuts – Friday was National Donut Day and Sean and I celebrated it with some Tim Bits for our weekend road trip. I even got him to say that sourcream glazed “aren’t too bad.” Mission Accomplished.
3) Farmland – Our roadtrip was a lovely drive up to Keswisk to celebrate the engagement of two very special friends. This is by far my favourite drive to visit any of our friends – not as long as the drive to Ottawa, not as busy as the drive to Toronto, and stunning farmland views all the way there. On our way home, I saw a perfect red barn set back off the highway and I just had to turn around to get this shot of it!
4) Birthday Wishes – Today is my dad’s 60th birthday. He is the greatest man I know, and I am the luckiest person in the world to have him as my dad. A huge thanks to Carlton Cards who wrote an absolutely perfect card for him – so perfect that I almost couldn’t think of anything to add to it when I signed it!
