Thank goodness today is Summer Solstice and International Yoga Day; a turning point and a time of renewal as we move into the next season. This week was full of ups and downs, and I anticipate the same over the next few weeks. **Deep belly breath**
1. Be Extraordinary – As I mentioned last week, I bought this lovely little motivational print for my new office space. It is just the thing to fuel my motivation and creativity! It’s a great reminder every day to BE EXTRAORDINARY – in everything I do.
2. Wedding Planning – In attempts to think about other things besides hospitals and surgery, I did spend a few hours perusing wedding ideas and inspiration. Not only am I adding to my Wedding Pinterest board, but I also found some great accounts on Instagram to follow, like bellsetcandles_wedding_planner. This is an amazing sheet music bouquet that she posted!
3. Rear-view Mirror – Thursday was supposed to be D-Day. We were up and at it at 5am, and on the road for 6. Traffic was a mess. We finally got to the hospital and waited in the waiting room for hours. Literally. Finally, when things were prepped, and the next stop was the operating room, we were notified that the surgeon had an emergency to attend to, and our surgery was rescheduled. It’s tough – all the emotional prep and working to hold back the tears and be strong – all to be told, “Oops. Nope, sorry. Not today.” I’m hoping these extra days will allow me to be even better prepared to handle my unruly emotions.
4. Relaxation – After a week of hard work and stress, my mum and I spent a relaxing weekend up North. It was filled with afternoon siestas, Sudoku, reading, campfires, mosquito bites, Timmies and good ole Vitamin D.
