Loveliness. That’s the word I can use to sum up this week. Although we entered it with disappointed hearts, everything always happens for a reason. Things line up, fall into place, and work out for the best.
I’m actually writing this a day earlier than I usually do: Friday night instead of Saturday. I’m chillin’ out with half a bottle of berry sangria in my wine goblet, and am feeling good after a yoga practice in my back garden. Writing early means that I am missing the opportunity of one whole day of photos that could be had for this week’s #OneFourLife. This includes a very rare appearance for me at a night club for a Jack & Jill. I’m sure those photos will be best kept to myself anyway.
1. Peterborough Yoga Fest 2015 – I know I’ve mentioned this quite a few times on the blog, but I was so happy to take part in the inaugural Peterborough Yoga Festival, which was held last Sunday (on International Yoga Day). With having just gotten through a really stressful week, I wasn’t as bright-eyed-and-bushy-tailed as I had planned on being. We only made it to one class, but it was seriously worth the $15 ticket! We took part in Mantra Magic Live Music Yoga with Tiina Kivinen (of the Peterborough Living Yoga Studio) & Om Shantis. It was so beautiful, grounding, and filled with loving and peaceful vibes!
(Sunday was also Father’s Day, and I was incredibly thankful to get to spend it with my dad because, well, he’s the best! xo)
2. Save the Date – I’m going to Vegasssss baby! I received a magnet in the mail to save the date for my brother and sister-in-law‘s vow renewal this fall. I’ve never been to Las Vegas, but it has always been on my bucket list, so I can’t wait to go. And I have this lovely magnet to constantly remind me to save money 🙂
3. Gracias – This week at work, I felt so valued and appreciated by little thoughtful gifts that my colleagues surprised me with. My week started off with a Starbucks gift card from one boss, and ended with delicious chocolates from Mercury Chocolates from the other!
4. Lunch – While in Port Hope for a business meeting, I stopped into Queenie’s Bake Shop. It’s a delightful little treasure, with great staff and a steady stream of regulars coming in for their daily favourites. I definitely plan on going back, and would totally be a regular myself if I lived closer! I ordered a delicious tomato feta quiche with a spinach poppyseed salad, and two jam-filled cookie. Yes, I very easily (and with great pleasure) could’ve eaten both, but I didn’t; I got one for my boss to enjoy!
