Holy, wow. Have I ever got updates for you!
I know I always say that, but this time, the changes in my life have been of epic proportion.
In the span of 6 weeks, I became a home owner, a married woman, AND a mother. Not a lot of people can say they’ve done that, can they?
Here’s the Cole’s Notes:
In just a few short weeks, Chad and I planned the perfect tiny wedding that we ever could have imagined. It took place in not-your-average wedding venue: a small retail store in downtown Peterborough called Watson & Lou.
With just our parents and Chad’s grandmother in attendance (as well as a little bebe that was still just a big belly), we proclaimed our lifetime commitment and love for one another in a short ceremony. We toasted with TreeWell sparking maple sap, gifted from the lovely Rob Howard of Kawartha Local, cake from Grace at Yum Yum Cakes, and followed our nuptials up with dinner at Brio Gusto. Our weekend honeymoon was just a quick car-ride to Lakefield, to an airbnb called The Nest in the Forest B&B. There, we had our first dance as a married couple to Noah Reid’s cover of Tina Turner’s “Simply the Best.”
Goodness, I love this man.
home sweet home
Chad and I found the perfect place to call home. Our tiny piece of heaven is in the country, with a beautiful yard, and the perfect amount of space for our little family. The longer commute to Peterborough gives me more time to laugh along with Mike & Miles in the morning, time to catch up on Podcasts, or just to enjoy having a sleeping babe in the back seat. Speaking of that…
our little monkey
To cap off a crazy few months, at the end of May we welcomed a sweet baby girl. Life has changed a lot since then. I have changed a lot. Now, everything I do is for her. Despite her sucking every ounce of energy out of me, she ironically has sparked a new energy in me, too; an intense desire to create a life of happiness, purpose, and success. More about that as you follow along my journey here at All The Amusement.
Thank you for sharing in my joy, and for watching all of this unfold. Life is strange, magical, difficult, and wonderful.
